Strongheart Martial Arts Academy has been dedicated to the promortion and benefit of the student since 2006
Master Nathan Schutz is the head/master instructor/examiner of SMAA since its inception in 2006. He is a Kukkiwon certified 5th Dan Master Instructor/Examiner in Taekwondo, a certified 3rd Dan Black Belt in Hapkido, and a certified 2nd Dan Black Belt in Kumdo/Kumbup. He, along with his wife Miss Kate Schutz, a certified 3rd Dan Black Belt, oversee Strongheart Martial Arts Academy and do all they can to help develop the student. Both have trained under Grand Master Eric Greenquist (7th Dan) for many years.
Master Nathan has been training Taekwondo since 1992 and recieved his 1st Dan in 1996. He was the head instructor of Milnor and Wyndmere Taekwondo (both in ND) and the head assistant instructor in the Greenquist Academy Headquarters gym until 2005. In 2006, he recieved his 4th Dan in Taekwondo and started the Strongheart Martial Arts Academy in Aberdeen, SD, and later annexed a gym in Ortonville, MN. He completed his exam for 5th Dan in 2010 at the Greenquist Academy Headquarters gym in Breckenridge, MN.
Miss Kate Schutz began training Taekwondo in 1996 and recieved her 1st Dan in 1999 and was promoted to 3rd Dan. She was the head instructor of Graceville Taekwondo (MN) and Browns Valley Taekwondo (MN) from 1999 to 2005 and main assistant instructor to Grand Master Greenquist for the Circle of Nations Taekwondo program. She helps run Strongheart Martial Arts from behind the scenes and does not take an active part in classes currently.
